About Mission Driven:

At Mission Driven, we are on a mission to help long-term shelter pets find their forever homes while creating unique apparel and goods for dog and cat lovers. Our founder, Scott, dedicates his time to visiting local and rural animal shelters, building trust with their longest-term residents, and sharing their stories on social media to find them the perfect families. The sale of our apparel and goods funds this important animal rescue work.

The Position in Brief:

We're seeking a talented Apparel Graphic Designer to create compelling, on-brand graphics for our product line, packaging, and other visual elements. In addition to designing, you will be encouraged to propose creative solutions that enhance sales across all channels. This is a contract exempt position that reports to Scott Poore and does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is a highly creative individual well-versed in current design trends. They thrive on attention to detail and enjoy finding innovative visual solutions to make Mission Driven products shine.

Key Details:

• Contract Basis: This is a project-based, contract position. The workload will vary depending on the company's needs, making it an ideal opportunity for freelancers or those seeking additional income.
• Location: You can work remotely and do not need to reside in Kansas City.

Responsibilities:

• Create unique, on-brand digital designs for products.
• Assist in producing flat-lay and lifestyle images of our products.
• Tailor graphics to different customer audiences, enhancing branding and fostering customer loyalty.
• Stay informed about design trends and competitor strategies to contribute fresh and creative ideas.
• Collaborate on special creative projects to support various departments within the organization.
• Ensure all designs are production-ready and meet quality standards for printing and manufacturing.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of design experience in both print and digital media.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Ability to adhere to strict style guidelines.
• Willingness to push creative boundaries and experiment with new concepts.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be a U.S. resident.
